The Oil Boom Linear Hauler System can be pre-staged on off-shore platforms as well as in ports of high activity. Rapid deployment from the off-shore platforms and from vessels of opportunity can quickly contain oil spills and help avoid some of the devastation to the environment. The system is modular and scalable. If this system had been in place and used for the recent Gulf disaster much of the oil could have been contained from the start. Storage of boom on pallets.
